Look who I found last night, 40 yards up the wash from Rex!  Does sandstone have certain cleavage planes?  A little smaller, facing the same direction…

Awwww! Cute!

  2. Good one, Becky. I wasn’t paying attention at first, and didn’t realize they are two different formations………. even though you said it was a little way from Rex.

  3. Actually (and not many people know this) this is a later snapshot of Rex himself. Unfortunately, he had been in a fight with a much larger and meaner T. Rex and had lost the left half of his lower jaw. This happens to be a head-on snapshot of him after he healed up a bit.
