I was swearing in my umpteenth Junior Ranger this morning at the Visitor Center desk when my colleague took a phone call. It was the library, calling to say that my green purse had been found over the weekend. No further explanation. They found it sitting on their counter. Answered prayer!! All its contents were present. My day became profoundly happy.
The only way they were able to track it to me was through the couple behind me in church yesterday. The husband is a Visitor Center worker, and the wife volunteers at the library, and I mentioned to them that I had lost my green purse outside the library. When she came in today at 9 a.m., it was mysteriously there. She knew exactly where to call to find me.
I can not tell you how relieved, how immensely relieved, I am. I am going to celebrate at the Moab Brewery with their home-made Black Cherry Soda.
Isn’t it wonderful – the mysterious ways in which the universe works. I am more than a little attracted to the concept of Gaia (in the pantheistic sense)and think that ‘putting my wants/needs out there’ is more than likely to skew the outcome favorably. Call it what we wish, there is Something there . . . ;-?
love,
D

K,
Events like this continue to feed into my belief in the Gaia Hypothesis. Call it what you will, when you put your wants/needs ‘out there’, more often than not Something responds favorably.
So happy for you!
love,
d

Dad, the reason your first Comment didn’t appear is that you are writing it from a new email address. The admin page codes you as a NEW commenter and requires me to approve you before it shall appear. From now on these addresses are golden, though. Thanks for your feedback, BTW. Someone (your Something) is surely powerfully directing events…

I am so thankful! I figured the best outcome would be to find the purse minus the cash. Hooray. Another victory for the good guys. And the added bonus of the lady volunteer knowing it was yours! Did you read John’s urging you to invest in a hand held GPS device? Learn how to set it for the location of your car and then head out into the desert without (too many) worries.

most run on AA batteries. i use the rechargable ones and have a car charger as well as the 110 home charger. my GPS takes two batteries and will give me 15-20 hours of use. i always carry an extra set of batteries with me. if you get a low battery indicator, you just swap them out.
