An innocent’s dreams

Today we took a small group of the multi-cultural kids into Arches NP for a 5-hour field trip. At one point we were sitting on some large Navajo sandstone rocks, away from all visitors, just being very quiet. This would be our journaling time, and the instruction we gave the children was this: Listen, and write what the park is telling you.

Belen, 10, wrote the following: “You can be whatwever you want in your life don’t mater who are you you can make it even those you are are poor or rich don’t mater who you are you can make your dream come true.”

After I scan and photocopy that, I am laminating it and giving it back to her. Go, Belen, go.

  1. YES! Way to dream, sweet Belen!
