Johnson’s Up On Top

After two sick days from work, with my strength starting to come back, I needed to take a short test hike to see how my body would do. My girlfriend took me to a place heretofore unknown to me and we had a couple hours’ worth of marvelous exploration; one discovery after another waits for those who have eyes to see out here. Mill Creek’s ‘Right Hand Canyon’ cooled our feet and made our ears happy with its riffles, as we encountered flora and fauna and rock art and other cultural artifacts. Are not the simple pleasures of life the best?

Ten more photos here.

  1. How did you know it was a black widow web? Is it so distinctive? Or was she nearby? Can you ever get tired of “just one more beautiful thing to see”????

    • Distinctive! Their webs are always messy, and usually filled with debris. The entrance hole in the top was quite interesting, too. Did not see her — have seen only one in three seasons here. Never never never ever tire of seeing marvelous sights… no, never.
