I’m imagining, with a smile, what would happen if we sat all our legislators down with tea and scones while they watched this three-and-a-half minute video. Go get your cup of something hot and click on this link:

Let’s all send this to our representatives in Washington. Two lines they could learn from…
“We do it because we believe in something, something higher than ourselves.”
“What are we teaching our children when these sacred places can be considered collateral damage?”
And I’ll add a personal favorite, a line I heard from a friend who is a park ranger: “The NPS is the only branch of government that gets paid to tell the truth.” There’s wisdom in his sarcasm. Anyone ever heard a politician — from either party — give a straight answer to a straight question?
Remember to vote.

Hi Kathryn,
I don’t know what’s up with my web browser; I meant to post that comment under my real name, not my screen name.
All the best,

I will certainly vote, as I always do, and this time not for any incumbent, of any party. Voting is one power the average citizen still has. A couple of years ago, a local issue was decided by one vote. This batch has had their chance; let someone else mess up!
